BEND
Robinson: What happens when he wants rustic and she wants modern? What we like to call Mountain
Modern. To achieve this look we balance simplistic and linear elements with rustic surfaces and lots of texture. Reclaimed
wood and modern design tie these two styles together beautifully.
TUMALO
Pahlisch Ranch: The objective was to create a home for family and friends that was more powerful than just a house. The ranch
also needed to be a showplace to display the builder/home owner’s ability to create a high-end custom home. Being a designer
herself, Mrs. Pahlisch was very involved in the interior design selections. She had a vision for an elegant ranch style home. We
brought her vision to fruition.
CROSSWATER
Northcote: Our clients wanted a harmonious interplay of log home and European elegance. While customized wall
treatments and beautiful custom designed cabinetry give this home its signature, the furnishings are the element that ground the interior
with European fabrics in warm colors and bold textures. Custom lighting softens the mass of logs and timber.
SAN ANTONIO, TX
Oliva: The biggest challenge on this project was location, it was 3,000 miles away. Added to that, the clients live in New York. The house
itself was designed so that the homeowners wouldn’t feel like they were rambling around in this 10,000 s.f. Hacienda when on their own,
while still being spacious and welcoming enough for entertaining. Several outdoor areas for dining and relaxing anchored by a pool and
grotto compliment the exterior where they have the luxury of year-round entertaining. Hand carved cabinets, wood shutters and custom made
iron and glass doors were built in Mexico. Artisans from Peru created the beautiful over-sized furniture pieces.
CALDERA
Hayward: Elegance without formality. No hokey snowshoes on the wall or sentimental trappings of lodge style. On the contrary, the
clients wanted something easy, informal and colorful. When you are inside this home you are also experiencing the outside. Montana
Moss stone is repeated in the house on the fireplace. Large distressed timbers ground the ceilings to the floor. Hand hewn Hickory,
chiseled edge travertine tile and heavy textured carpet cover the floors. Furniture handcrafted by local artisan Robert Seliger adds the
finishing touch on this exquisite home.
AWBREY BUTTE
Mehlis: You wouldn’t expect to see a romantic Mediterranean-style villa perched on Awbrey Butte,
but this home fits in beautifully. As is the case with many clients, the owners wanted to incorporate some of the objects-d-art and a few furniture
pieces from their Southern California home. Our task was to blend the styles as if each existing item was purchased for this house. With
neutral backgrounds, and stark contrasts of color we achieved our goal. Textured fabrics and a warmer palette give the family room and kitchen
a Northwest feel.
